This privacy statement applies only to and not to third party websites that can be visited via links now or later on or via this website.

Jacobs Presentation Products (hereinafter Jacobs) respects the privacy of all visitors to its website.


Personal data

In connection with the provision of services, Jacobs processes personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Ordinance (AVG). Personal data are all data that can provide information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Data may be actively submitted by you to Jacobs, such as your name and contact information. Processing includes any activity involving personal data, such as storing, sharing and protecting it.

When you visit the website, your online devices automatically provide our computer(s) with some technical information, such as the IP address you use, the operating system, the Internet browser used or the last Internet page you visited.


Responsible party

is often the so-called responsible person within the meaning of the AVG. This means that Jacobs decides which personal data are processed, for what purpose and in what way. Jacobs is responsible for ensuring that your personal data are processed in accordance with the AVG and in a proper and careful manner.


Purposes of the processing

Jacobs will use your name, address, telephone number and email address to contact you. In addition, Jacobs uses all information made available to it, information provided by you (financial and personal) or required by law in order to provide its services or to inform you about new products and/or offers of Jacobs.


Principles of processing

Jacobs must be able to base the use of your personal data on the AVG. In accordance with this European regulation, Jacobs processes personal data on the basis of the agreement(s) with you or on the basis of permission obtained from you or a justified (business) interest. Your consent may be evidenced by the mere fact that you ask Jacob a question or request a quotation by e-mail or otherwise.


Provision of personal data

Jacobs will not share your personal data obtained or processed through the website with third parties and will not share them outside the EEA.

When you order something, Jacobs requires certain information from you in order to be able to deliver your order and to keep you informed about your order. This information is also required for any returns or repairs. For this purpose, Jacobs collects your name, e-mail address, delivery address(es), payment details and your telephone number. This information is necessary to carry out the agreement you have entered into with Jacobs, in which context you give us permission to process it.

In your personal account, Jacobs stores the following information: your name, (delivery and home/branch) address(es), telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth (if you have provided it) and payment details.

In your account, we also store your order history including selected delivery options. Jacobs stores the information in your account as long as you are an active Jacobs customer. If you have not logged into Jacobs for 7 years, we will delete all of your information. In addition, you can request to have your information removed or modified in your account at any time.

On our website, you can enter certain personal information. By sending these, you give us permission to process these data. This may include your customer number, order number, name and delivery address to ensure that they can process your order on time and in the correct manner. We only process this information to contact you and/or to provide you with an offer or information. We do not share this information with third parties without your new permission and therefore do not sell it.

Jacobs cooperates with various logistics partners, such as PostNL. Our partners receive your name and delivery address from Jacobs. These are necessary to deliver your order to the address of your choice.

Jacobs cannot exclude being obliged to pass on certain personal data to the government. This may first occur if certain government agencies need this information for the performance of their tasks, such as the Tax and Customs Administration. The police or judicial authorities may also need certain information in the event of fraud or abuse. Finally, certain supervisors may gain access to your personal data as part of an investigation.


Personal data of children

Jacobs’ services are not aimed at children. This means that purchase and use of the website by customers under the age of 18 is only permitted with the express permission of a parent or guardian.


Storage of your personal data

Jacobs stores your data within the European Economic Area (“EEA”). However, certain data that Jacobs collects may be transferred to or stored at a destination outside the EEA. Where applicable, Jacobs will ensure that this is done in a safe and lawful manner.


Security of personal data

In accordance with the AVG, Jacobs has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss of personal data or unlawful processing.


Data leaks

In accordance with the AVG, Jacobs immediately informs the Personal Data Authority ‘of a breach of security (data breach) observed by Jacobs himself or reported to Jacobs that leads to a significant risk of serious adverse consequences or has serious adverse consequences for the protection of personal data’. In all cases, Jacobs also documents such breaches of security internally.


Use of Google Analytics on the Website

The website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. To prevent security incidents and fraud, Jacobs may use your personal information (including IP addresses and search, surf and purchase behavior) to investigate, prevent and prevent unauthorized access and fraud.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive data that you have provided to us within the framework of the agreement(s) that you have entered into with us in a machine-readable format, so that you can store this data or have it stored in a database of you or of another party. This includes your name, address and place of residence details and order history. We offer you the possibility to download this data in a machine-readable format into your account.


Right to be forgotten

You have the right to ask us to delete any information we hold about you. When you request the deletion of your account, we will delete information that can be traced back to you except for the information that we are or may be required to retain by law. We offer you the opportunity to make a request in your account
